Anticancer AgentsAntikrebsmittel

写真の説明を入れます

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is one of the cancer treatments. PDT is a treatment that kills tumor cells by injecting a photosensitizer into the body and then irradiating the tumor area with visible light to generate active oxygen (singlet oxygen). We have developed a protein anticancer agent (photosensitizer) that has blood retention, tumor accumulation, and safety. Combining catalase, which has the ability to generate oxygen (a raw material of reactive oxygen), greatly increases the anticancer activity. We have also succeeded in improving the safety of asparaginase (enzyme), a therapeutic agent for leukemia, by binding a synthetic polymer.
